Extruder Portia (Part 2)

This part of the tutorial is pretty short. If you have any question then ask them in the comments below or send us a message.

Let’s start to build the extruder rack first. I prefer aluminium profiles because you can adjust them anytime to your needs and this saves you a lot of troubles. You will need 40×40 profiles and I recommend you to built parts of the rack with heavy-duty profiles (4x 560mm and 2x 1080mm). In the drawing below the heavy-duty profiles are noted as HD.

If you will use steel instead of aluminium profiles then I recommend you to built firstly the outer parts of the frame and then adjust the inside parts according to the gearbox and motor dimensions (noted in the drawing).
